Welcome

The International Society for NonParametric Statistics (ISNPS) was founded in 2010 with the mission "to foster the research and practice of nonparametric statistics, and to promote the dissemination of new developments in the field via conferences, books and journal publications."

ISNPS has a distinguished Advisory Committee that includes R.Beran, P.Bickel,  R. Carroll,  D. Cook, P. Hall, W. Hardle, R. Johnson,  B. Lindsay, E. Parzen,  P. Robinson, M. Rosenblatt, G. Roussas, T. SubbaRao, and G. Wahba. The Charting Committee of ISNPS consists of over 50 prominent researchers from all over the world.

The nature of ISNPS is uniquely global, and its international conferences are designed to facilitate the exchange of ideas and latest advances among researchers from all around the world in cooperation with established statistical societies such as the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) and the International Statistical Institute (ISI).

The First Conference of ISNPS is scheduled to take place in Chalkidiki, Northern Greece, June 15-19, 2012 (with participants arriving on June 14), and is co-sponsored by the IMS, the ISI, and other organizations. The venue is the G-Hotel complex: http://www.ghotels.gr/ enlocated 40 miles (60 Km) away from Thessaloniki (also know as Salonica) which is Greece's 2nd largest city.  Thessaloniki has an international airprot with direct conections to many European cities; a sampler includes: London, Rome, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Stutgard, Zurich, Budapest, and Bucharest.  Thessaloniki's IATA 3-letter airport code is SKG.

The conference will bring forth recent advances and trends in several areas of nonparametric statistics, in order to facilitate the exchange of research ideas, promote collaboration among researchers from all over the world, and contribute to the further development of the field. The program will include plenary talks, special invited talks, invited talks, contributed talks and posters on all areas of nonparametric statistics. A round table discussion on the constitution of ISNPS and future conferences will also take place.

Researchers that are interested in ISNPS and/or would like to participate in its First Conference by giving a contributed talk or poster are encouraged to contact ISNPS at the email:   This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
